Registration FAQ
Getting Started
How do I register for a PPA Tour Asia tournament?
Visit pickleballtournaments.com and create an account. Once logged in, navigate to the specific tournament page to begin registration.
What events can I enter?
After logging into your account at Pickleball Tournaments, the system will automatically display all events you’re eligible for based on your age, skill level (DUPR rating), and other criteria.
I can’t see the event I want to enter. Why?
Events only appear if you meet the eligibility criteria. Make sure you’re logged in and check that your profile information (age, DUPR rating) is complete and accurate.
What if the event I want is full?
You can join the waitlist, but act fast – even waitlists have capacity limits. Don’t wait to register or you may miss out entirely!
Registration Fees
How much does it cost to enter?
There are two types of fees that you must pay:
- Registration Fee: A one-time fee per tournament (required for all players)
- Event Fees: Separate fee for each event you enter Both fees are required – the registration fee alone does not include any events.
My doubles partner already paid. Do I need to pay too?
Yes. Each player must individually register and pay their own registration fee plus their own event fees. Your partner’s payment only covers their participation.
Doubles Registration
How do I register with a doubles partner?
- Both players must register individually
- During registration, select your partner from the system
- Your partner must complete their registration within the specified timeframe
- If your partner doesn’t register in time, your team may be moved to the waitlist
I can’t find my partner in the system. What should I do?
First, ensure your partner has created an account and started their registration. If you still can’t find them, contact the organizer with your partner’s registration details (email, event, DUPR ID).
What happens if my partner doesn’t complete registration?
Teams with incomplete registrations will be moved to the waitlist after the deadline stated on the tournament sign-up page. Both players must be fully registered to secure your spot.
Categories
How do I know which age category I belong to?
The system will show you appropriate age categories based on your profile information after you log in.
Can I play in multiple age categories?
You can typically enter events in your own age category and sometimes in younger age categories. Check the specific tournament rules for which categories allow age crossover play.
Where is the 18 & Under category?
Youth categories will appear only for players who meet the age requirements. Ensure your birthdate is correctly entered in your profile.
What do the skill level categories mean?
Events may be divided by skill level to ensure competitive balance. The system will show you which events match your current skill rating when you log in.
How are skill levels determined?
Most tournaments use DUPR (Dynamic Universal Pickleball Rating) or similar rating systems. Make sure your rating is up-to-date in your profile.
What’s the difference between Pro and Amateur events?
Amateur: Open to all eligible players, various skill levels. Register early as popular events fill quickly! You can join the waitlist if an event is full, but waitlists are also capped.
Professional: All Pro registrations initially go on a waitlist. Players will be notified whether they made the Main Draw, need to play Qualifiers, or did not make the event.
