(Hong Kong, 20 August, 2025) The global pickleball revolution breaks new ground with this year’s inaugural PPA Tour Asia 2025 events. Amongst the highlights of the series will be the “PPA Tour Asia Hong Kong Open 2025”, which takes place at Kai Tak Arena, Kai Tak Sports Park between 21-24 August, as one of the marquee events in the Asian circuit.
Organised by F-Sports Promotions Limited and supported by the Hong Kong, China Tennis Association, the tournament will feature 104 professional players and 424 amateur athletes from 25 countries or regions competing to write a new chapter in Hong Kong’s pickleball evolution. A free-admission Fan Zone ensures everyone can get involved and will offer various pickleball equipment displays, tournament merchandise and complimentary pubic pickleball trial sessions. Hong Kong Stars Shine at Home, Amateurs Share the Stage
Kai Tak Arena will transform into a 14-court international-standard pickleball venue. Multiple Hong Kong players will compete on home ground, including men’s singles top seed Wong Hong Kit, Ryan Lam, Tang Nok Yiu, and Wong Hong Yi. Notably, Wong Hong Kit and Wong Hong Yi will form a sibling duo in the mixed doubles event. The tournament features not only some of the world’s top professionals but also 12 up-and-coming stars from the UPA Asia Trailblazers program. Marco Leung from Macau represents the sole Hong Kong/Macau player selected for the program. After transitioning from professional tennis to pickleball, his rapid ascent continues. Following a recent three-month US training camp, he’ll now showcase his progress at the tournament.
The PPA Tour Asia breaks traditional boundaries, embracing the core philosophy of “Play Where the Pros Play”, providing pickleball enthusiasts with a rare opportunity to compete alongside top-tier athletes. The amateur division showcases elite athletic talent including Olympic gymnastics legend Li Xiaopeng, former Hong Kong badminton team star Amy Chan, and singer Alfred Hui – a recent pickleball convert – all uniting to celebrate this premier pickleball festival!

Ticket sales are available via HK Ticketing. Two pricing tiers are offered: HK$100 (HK$150 for the final day) and HK$300 (HK$400 for the final day), with all tickets allocated as general admission (unassigned seating). HK$300/ HK$400 ticketholders will enjoy the best seats for the key matches played by the professional players. These ticketholders will also get exclusive access to the “Courtside Viewing Zone” for amateur competitions, immediately adjacent to the court area to experience the intense matches up close, to enjoy an unparalleled live spectator experience!
PPA Tour Asia features a three-tier tournament structure – Slam, Cup and Open events – ensuring all regions and levels of competition experience the premier pickleball tour.
